1) Questions
dealing with the quotation |
What do you need in order to quote a job? |
The more information you give us, the better the
quote will be. You find the details in our quotation form. The most
reliable calculation is based on manufacturing data. At least supply us
with fab drawing consisting of outline dimensions, drilling info and
any special fab notes. |

Why can“t I do the calculation myself, for
example with standard-prices? |
Standard-prices, for example per cm², are always
an approximate figure (mixed calculation). We offer many choices and
extras and we generally run series. Therefore we quote individually and
only include the desired services. This is a solid calculation and more
favourable for our customers. There are, however, considerations to
introduce standard-prices for Eurocards (panel size 100x160 mm). |

How long will it take to get a quote? |
Usually we reply within one ore two
working-days. We are "just a smile away", but there still is a
time-difference. |
Is your quotation binding? |
Upon receipt of the manufacturing data we can
confirm prices and delivery time. |

2) Questions
dealing with manufacturing |
What files do I need to include? |
We import Gerber-, Eagle-, and Target-files. As
for Gerber-files we prefer RS 274 or RS 274 x. The RS 274X have
aperture list or d-codes for the line width and pad diameter already
embedded into the files. Before production we check if data are
complete and match our specification. Here are still opportunities to
avoid errors and delays and speed up the process.
Therefore we would like to pass the question back: |
Are the data correct? |
Do they match our production capabilities: hole
and pad sizes, line width, spaces etc.? Are they aligned correctly, are
they inverted? Silk screen: Please choose a type size bigger than 1 mm
(min), and at least a strength of 200µ. It is advantageous to insert a
part number or order number on each layer. This helps identify the
boards at all stages of manufacturing as well as completion and will
insure that the circuits are always printed correctly (not inverted). |
Are the data complete? |
Files per layer and files for all layers?
Complete aperture list (not necessary for RS 274X)? Are file names
unmistakably assigned to the individual layers (bottom, layer 1 to x,
top)? Please enclose a text file which explains the board construction,
its thickness and layers; plus another text file listing all file names
and what they are. |
We don“t need electrical testing. |
Please choose the option "NO" in our quotation
form, although we recommend to book the whole package. |
Last but not least ... |
We are geared to supply you best quality and
service. However, testing the manufacturing limits - minimized trace
width, spacing and hole sizes - may increase costs. |

3) Questions
dealing with ordering procedures |
How long is the delivery-time?
How long will transportation take? |
It depends on destination and order quantities.
For first orders it is 3 to 4 weeks; for follow-up orders we offer
partial delivery (bulk order) with a delivery time of 2 days in the
EU-countries (continent). |
Is the import of PCBs to Europe (EU) dutiable? |
No. PCBs are semi-finished products and in
(nearly) all countries they do not carry an import duty. |
What else should I know about importing PCBs,
for example to the EU? |
Our forwarding agent takes care of customs and
import formalities. He also collects the value added tax (VAT) for
imports to the EU. VAT is payable together with freight rates and you
can have the tax refunded from your local authorities. There ist no VAT
for imports to the United States. |
How is payment made? |
For first-time customers we charge 50% when
placing the order and 50% upon dispatch. For long-term customers and
follow-up orders we send an invoice. |
Can I pay with my credit card? |
This option is not available. Payment is made by
bank-transfer. You“ll find the data on the order confirmation or our
invoice. |
